Alan Walker's 'Different World': An Emotional Journey

Norwegian DJ, Alan Walker, has returned with another project following a busy and productive year. Different World takes us on an emotional journey, from a set of meaningful new songs, such as ‘Lonely’, as well as a compilation of some of his popular works throughout the years, including 2016 hit ‘Faded’. The album provides his loyal fans with the opportunity to connect with the artist in his latest chapter, as well as introducing and welcoming new listeners to his unique sound and profound lyrics.

The album was introduced with a music video for the track Different World feat. Sofia Carson, K-391 & CORSAK, following the lyric video when released as a single in late November, displaying the environmental issues our planet currently faces. The powerful lyrics, “This is not the world we had in mind, but we got time,” demonstrates an important message with great relevance in today’s society. 

With the evident experimentation of new genres combined with his unique sound that caught the hearts of many, Alan Walker has demonstrated his passion and knowledge of music through this album, in addition to the touching lyrics and effective collaborations with artists, such as Steve Aoki. 

Alan Walker’s debut album has been an excellent end to a successful 2018 and guides the path to promising 2019.
