Menace the Debut Single From Cairo station releases on the 13th June

Cairo Station are undoubtedly one of the hottest new alternative rock acts in the scene. The Belfast-based band have sold-out shows and grown a loyal fanbase all before the release of any music. It’s been a long time coming for fans but finally Cairo Station have released their debut single Menace.

And that debut single is massive!

The band consists of frontwoman Cara Collins, Felix McAuley on lead guitar and Ben Gribben on bass. The instrumental of Menace gradually grows and sets a strong base for Cara Collins spectacular vocals. It’s no secret that I love a female fronted rock act, but I think Cara has one of the most powerful voices out there. Her voice is undeniably fierce and has a gorgeous gravely tone that blends so delicately across the guitars.

You can tell how much music means to this band and the passion that has gone into the track is radiated through its aura. This is further certified through the numerous sell-out headline shows they’ve played. For a band to have sold-out headline gigs prior to releasing music you just know they’ve got something special. Cairo Station have a ferocious live performance that captivates any crowd they play to. They bring something new and exciting to the scene with their already defined sound.

Menace is a force to be reckoned with and has already gained support from BBC ATL Introducing as their ‘Best Song in The World’ and it’s so clear to see why.

If you want to catch Cairo Station live (which you do!) you can see them supporting Brand New Friend and the Oh Yeah Centre on Saturday 15 th June.
