The best way to give your special someone (or yourself!) a memorable experience this Valentine's Day is in Belfast. With everything from concerts and exhibitions to cabaret variety shows and afternoon tea, this is the perfect city for you and your Valentine to fall in love and make romantic memories. For the one who wants to spend this holiday with oneself, family, or friends, there is something for you here too.

Galentine's Day

Galentine's Day is a made-up holiday that originated with Leslie Knope, the star of the popular US comedy TV series Parks and Recreation. Leslie honours a woman’s friendship with her female pals by holding an annual Galentine’s Day to shower her closest female friends with affection.. The purpose of Galentine's Day, which falls on February 13 (the day before Valentine's Day) is to express your love for your friends, whether they are single or not. Here is the list of things you can try on Galentine’s Day:

Let's Begin with Gin - Make a reservation for a class at Belfast Artisan Gin School, where you can create your own gin and enjoy a variety of sweets that have been infused with it.

Visit an Exhibition - Belfast is home to an outstanding selection of galleries, ranging from the latest modern visual art to classic printmaking. You can also take a look at the UMVA Midcoast Juried Winter Exhibition starting from January 25 to February 24.

Cabaret Variety Show

Why not spend this Valentine's Day at The Cabaret Supper Club and Treehouse taking in the performances of the great singers and dancers. This event is perfect for a romantic date night for couples or even a group of friends! In their cozy atmosphere, savor a romantic supper while watching the performance. The event begins from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on February 14.

Candlelight Concert

Listening to classical love music while surrounded by candlelight is the best way to set the mood. If you missed the Valentine’s Day Candlelight Concert at The Ulster Museum, how about buying some tickets to an upcoming show as a Valentine’s Day gift? Upcoming Candlelight Concerts include tributes to Hans Zimmer, Fleetwood Mac and Taylor Swift. These will be multi-sensory events that make everyone who attends happy.

Tom Jones - Live at Botanic Gardens

A spectacular outdoor concert in Belfast has been announced by superstar Sir Tom Jones. On May 31, Tom Jones will perform live at Belfast's Botanic Gardens as he marks his historic 80th birthday this summer. This Valentine's Day, give your loved ones or yourself the ultimate present of live music on a summer day.

Lost City Adventure Golf

Want to spice up your Valentine's date night a little bit? Visit Lost City Adventure Golf for a truly thrilling evening out. Treat your special someone to a night of adventure golf, pizza, and drinks with their date night package, which costs £25 per couple and includes 18 holes of golf, a large pizza to share, and a cocktail.

Titanic Afternoon Tea

With Sunday afternoon tea served on a replica of the Titanic ship that served as the setting for the 1997 Academy Award-winning movie Titanic, you can start a romance similar to that of star-crossed lovers Jack and Rose. At the foot of the grand staircase, which was a prominent location in the movie and served as the ultimate meeting spot for the fictional pair, you can have a sip of tea. The price per person will cost £12.50 to £36. The event will be held at  Titanic Belfast.
